President's Welcome Letter

As current president of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association- Mid Atlantic Division, I would like to welcome you to the association.

With the Mid Atlantic Division (MAD) of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) only being formed back in February of 2006, we already have many accomplishments in place of which we are quite proud. The initial board consisted of six motivated, aggressive members with a common interest and desire, to promote and improve the metal building industry through education, safety, and networking opportunities. During our few short years of existence we have since added four additional board members all of who demonstrate those same founding qualities and passions. This allows the board to represent all avenues of the industry and their perspectives, suppliers and builders alike.

With a large portion of our focus being on training and education, we present several educational opportunities throughout the year, directly related to the industry. We strive to help you acquire a safer, more educated, productive and profitable metal building experience through these events. All of the upcoming events can be viewed on our website along with pictures and feedback from some our past events. Some of our past training has included topics such as blueprint reading, man lift and forklift operation, over and under billing, team building, rigging, fall protection, safety and many more. The best part is we’re just getting started.

In addition to the many educational opportunities throughout the year we also have social networking opportunities that allow you to meet and talk with others in your industry. Things like our annual golf tournament and our December holiday social. These functions are always a big hit and looked forward to each and every year.

I would encourage you to come out and take advantage of what this organization has to offer. Get involved and reap the rewards. To quote the great Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get different results.” So come out, get involved and be a part of the difference.

Sincerely,

Timothy W. Clark
