President’s Welcome Letter
As current President of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association — Carolinas Chapter, I would like to welcome you to our association. The Carolinas Chapter of the MBCEA was formed back in the 1970's with a Board of Directors consisting of eighteen motivated, aggressive members with a common desire to promote the metal building industry through education, safety, and networking opportunities.
A large portion of our focus is on training and education. Several educational opportunities are presented throughout each year, giving our members access to the latest in safety and steel erection techniques, products, equipment, and general business information. It is our goal to make your business safer, more productive, and more profitable through these events. Upcoming events, as well as pictures and comments from previous events, can be viewed on our website. Additionally, four seasonal meetings are held to promote networking between all of our Builders and Associate Members. Quarterly board meetings are also held to discuss Association affairs, as well as discussing ways to improve our educational events.
We like to have some fun as well! Our annual summer golf outing is always a big hit with our members. The event provides lots of enjoyment, but also provides additional networking opportunities in a more casual environment. But the big winner of the golf outing are the scholarship winners. Funded with proceeds from our golf outing, last year we gave three scholarships to children of MBCEA — Carolinas Chapter members.
For our current members, I would like to thank you for putting your trust in me, and for giving me the privilege of leading our chapter through the next two years. I welcome any suggestions and recommendations to help strengthen our membership and promote our industry. For our visitors, I would encourage you to look around, and to take advantage of what this organization has to offer. I invite you to get involved, reap the rewards, and be part of what makes the difference in today's dynamic and competitive market.
